What You Do Doesn’t Define You

We're so conditioned to define ourselves by our careers that we often forget that's not what defines who we are as individuals. Ever realize that whenever we introduce ourselves, we have a tendency to lead with our professions and/or societal labels (i.e. banker, doctor, blogger, etc)?

And have you ever thought about who you are beyond those limits? It's actually not that easy... for most of us, our entire lives revolved around preparing and working towards those roles.

So when we lose our jobs, when our businesses fail, get laid off, it has a tremendous impact on our sense of self, our identities, and... our self-worth.

So many have faced that reality en masse lately and it's had such a devastating effect on our well-being at the spiritual and energetic level- both individually and collectively.

Please know, that you are so much more than what you do.

Your profession and what you do for a living is an extension of your creative/technical abilities. It does not define who you are as a person, as a spiritual being, and it certainly does not define your worthiness.

Go inwards, explore, and ask yourself these questions:

"Who am I without all those labels? What are my innate gifts that's meant to serve the greater good? What truly brings me joy and inspiration?"

Transmute the self-limiting beliefs into one of co-creation.  And please know that shedding tears is sometime the best form of release- give yourself the permission to cry and let go.

And from there, practice self-care. Start out small and give yourself permission to love yourself again. Allow that authentic voice within you to show you who you are, and get to know the real you- and your purpose.

And see where it leads you- it may be the spark your soul has been longing for. What may appear to be a loss on the surface often turns out to be a blessing. I've been there, and it's been a life-changing experience. I'm still figuring it out, but I'm so grateful more than ever for the experiences that led me to where I am now, and the lessons that are leading me to my future.

If this post resonates with you, please know you are not alone. These are trying times, and desperate times for many, but the answers you seek lies within you and around you.

You have the ability to create and manifest what your heart desires- you just have to break free from those self-limiting beliefs to truly see and hear from a place of authenticity.

And for those blessed enough to walk in your life's purpose, thank you for your service and for inspiring others to do the same 🙏🏼✨.

With love & gratitude,
Anna
